Great family atmosphere and good quality food. Small venue, but very cozy with friendly staff always ready to help. You can find here classic English breakfast, American pancakes and proper Italian kitchen. Go for omelette with some fresh salad! 😋

a family run cosy, friendly (not fake) and sincere local cafe. do not expect restaurant quality foods as this place is not for that. the modest sandwiches and rolls are recommended. it's not about what they serve but their influence on the neighborhood's local culture.

Absolutely best experience of local east London! Food is amazing and service was personal. You really feel like part of the neighborhood with a big smile on your face. London’s best kept secret!

The best café in London by a mile! They welcome you like they’ve known you for years and the atmosphere is amazing! They have a lovely menu and the dishes I’ve tried so far have been faultless. I recommend their tasty full English breakfast with a nice cup of tea.

Brilliant place, the stuff are friendly and amazing. It is a very small place, so not good for big groups but this makes the service more personal. The food is very basic homemade. And if you have the chance talk to the Mama, the best cook.

I thought E Pellicci was exceptional. Went for breakfast and found this a lovely multi generational family business. Unusually genuine and polite service and still eager to please despite long queues and busyness. Many of the customers knew each other and had been coming for many years. Perhaps the hipsters will feel their coffee shop is cooler than this one. Yet this has stood the test of time since 1900. Hope it will always be here for a taste of the real east end.

When you eat here you are sampling part of London's recent heritage and history. Great traditional food with genuine, unpretentious friendly service. Don't expect Michelin starred food or decor, but do expect to feel welcome. When we went there was a nice mix of locals and tourists. We went during the week when not too busy but I think you'd have to queue for a weekend breakfast / brunch.

To be fair it took my second visit on a weekday to really enjoy the food and service. Went on a sat afternoon and it was packed with a queue, so service became understandably slightly slipshod, albeit friendly, and food tasted too oily and mediocre. But on my second visit everything got better. Bottomline is that prices are reasonable, breakfast is hearty and they are flexible with the items you want to swap/include/exclude on your breakfast plate. I really liked the cheeky fried bread. Staff are cordial and prompt. Can see why it’s a long-time neighbourhood favourite.

Best café in town. Not just your usual big breakfast, the menu has classic Italian dishes that are home made by third generation of the family run business. Great unpretentious real food run by real people who speaks their mind. Loved the food & the service

Loved it. They love their customers and give great service. Awesome breakfast for the price. And amazing coffee. I also bought a sandwich to takeaway for lunch - way better than anything I could have bought in central London later. So friendly, I hope they are around for years to come. I want to go back for lunch soon

Great mom and pop atmosphere. Their English Breakfast was great and the coffee was spot on! As tourists, we also really enjoyed walking around the neighborhood that Pellicci's is located in. Lots of things to see and plenty of street vendors to shop at.

Legendary family run place. Food is freshly made there and then on the premises. Simple, tasty, go for it. There is not many places left such as this one. Internally decorated in art deco style, probably unchanged from the opening. It is a true gem.

This is a magical example of an East End cafe. The same family have run it since 1905. No matter who you are, you'll be welcomed with open arms & humour. People come from far & wide to sample their all day breakfasts or traditional home- cooked Italian dishes. And as for Mama Pellici's bread pudding - it's legendary. One of our fave places to eat in the world.

Great place!! Please do 100% visit if you're in London. Great great English breakfast and Italian menu!!! Owner is very friendly and kept giving us on the house stuff like baked beans, fries and bread pudding despite the crowd. Most of his customers are regulars!!

As always great food and atmosphere! Made some great friends at the cafe over the years. As always proper cup of tea! Coffee has a great bite but mellow on the palete. People talk to each other like humans should! If your looking for a hipster joint with fewer interactions this is not the place. This cafe has heart!

We went here on recommendation by a YouTube video. Was a great experience, some real English breakfast and eating with locals! Some tourists, but it's nice its not something really touristic!! Owner and family are nicest people of the world and we will come back if we visit London again!

Finally went to this famous cafe today and it was everything I wanted it to be. The food was fantastic. Hands down the best English breakfast I've had in a very long time. The sausage and hash browns were particularly excellent. My partner had the lasagna which she demolished (a rare occurrence) and an excellent coffee. The staff were all great. I really liked their no nonsense attitude and we were made to feel very welcome. Would highly recommend and will definitely return.

First visit was for breakfast. VERY FRIENDLY. VERY WARM ENVIRONMENT. They served quite a bit of food and I couldn’t eat all of it, so they kindly wrapped it up as a sandwich with a desert and tea to go, and it was PERFECT for the day of sightseeing I had planned. They have a customer for life from San Antonio, Texas. Thank you!

Been wanting to come here for donkey years. And they say never meet your idols etc . BUT this place didn't disappoint. Came here this morning and had the breakfast, the misses had liver bacon and onions. Well worth the 10 odd years I've been waiting to come here and never got the chance .The place was bursting with characters and that was just the customers .The owners and staff were second to none . Proper food served by proper people . Here's to another 100 years. You've made a Pompey lad very happy . Enjoy your holidays!!! From the couple in the back corner with the bright red hair :)

A family-favourite. My dad grew up in the local area and has been coming here since his youth. The family who own this are super-friendly. A local, family-favourite business with very reasonable prices and is always busy. The atmosphere is great! Go early because alot of stuff gets sold early - that's how popular they are!

Arriving as a party of 8 near closing time on a Saturday, you might have excused a less than friendly welcome but none of it. Fantastic food and even better banter, we had more laughs than an evening at the comedy store. It was certainly the highlight of our visitors weekend which made everything else i had planned an anti-climax. Yeah thanks for that! But seriously, you cant afford not to go if you're in the area.

What a fabulous restaurant. The food was amazing- especially the cannelloni and liver and bacon. What can I say about the owners, warm, welcoming, funny, truly fantastic hosts. Such a pleasure to eat there. Highly recommend visiting. 5 from Scarborough, 1 from Romford and 1 from Edmonton.

Best english breakfast I’ve had in London so far. Prices are very friendly and service too. The place is cozy and you feel comfortable as soon as you go inside. Italian-style restaurant with good meal offers also. If you’re living in Hackney then this should be your no1 option for a quick meal or breakfast, keeping in mind the portions are big!
